Ingredients:
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb bulk turkey sausage
1 (28 oz) can low-sodium crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp package ranch dressing mix
2 tbsp package taco seasoning mix
1 small onion, chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1 small red bell pepper, chopped
1 (14.5 oz) can low-sodium RO*TEL®, undrained
3 tbsp and 1/2 tsp chili sauce
jalapeno peppers, diced (optional)
1 can or bottle dark beer
ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
- Brown the beef and turkey completely in a large skillet over medium heat; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker.
- Add the tomatoes, ranch dressing mix, taco seasoning mix, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, Ro*Tel, chili sauce, jalapeno peppers, beer, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Set slow cooker to Low and cook 8 to 10 hours, or, if you prefer, on High for 4 to 6 hours.
