3 tablespoons chopped fresh Thai basil
1 teaspoon minced peeled fresh ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 red bird’s eye chile pepper, minced (or red serrano chile)
4 cups broccoli stalks (about 12 ounces) -Peeled and sliced into matchsticks
4 tablespoons fresh lime juice (divided 3 Tbsp and 1 Tbsp)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (divided 1/4 tsp and 1/4 tsp)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups gourmet salad greens
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
- Combine the the matchesticks with the first 4 ingredients and add 3 tablespoons of juice and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Combine olive oil, 1 tablespoon juice, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and pepper in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk. Add matchstick broccoli to the salad greens and onions; toss to coat.
