Lemony Kale Salad

Serves 6 (1 Cup serving) Cook Time 0

Ingredients:
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp Splenda
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp kosher salt
4 C kale leaves, washed and torn
2 C Swiss chard leaves, washed and torn
4 tsp unsalted pumpkin seeds
1/4 C green onions, sliced
1 oz. shaved pecorino romano

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl mix the lemon juice, oil, Splenda, salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the kale and chard leaves and top with seeds and onions, pour dressing over the top and mix. Top with cheese.

Green Smoothie

You’ve asked for it, so here you go, introducing Metabolic’s Green Smoothie!

A great way to get 2 Cups of power packed Kale in your shake. You don’t have to sacrifice taste to get  better nutrition. Count these 2 Cups into your daily vegetable allowance.

Metabolic Recipes

Serves 1 Cook Time 0

Ingredients:
1 package of Profast Pineapple-Orange Smoothie
2 Cups chopped Kale (about 1/2 inch pieces)
1 Tbsp flaxseed
1/2 Cup cold water
8-12 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Place the chopped kale, flaxseed, water and ice into your blender and set it to “smoothie” setting or blend on ice crush for at least 1 minute.
  2. Add shake powder and blend again on “purify” for 2 minutes.
